Mishima Park: A Family-Friendly Nature Escape

A game of tag ensues…

A great little park nestled along the Nomikawa Nature Path, Mishima Park is a perfect stop during a leisurely stroll. One end of the path begins at Midorigaoka Station, while the other leads to Komazawa Dori. Closer to the Komazawa Dori side, you’ll find a stream guiding you toward the park. This area gets plenty of sunshine but also offers shady spots, making it enjoyable even on a summer day.

Mishima Park features a small pond with stepping stones where children can catch bugs, a large shaded sandpit, and a wooden play structure with swings. There’s also a netted enclosure for ball sports. Nearby, you'll find a cozy roastery and a katsu lunch spot, perfect for refueling after some outdoor fun.

Make a Day Out of It

Start your journey at Komazawa Dori and grab a katsu bento for a picnic lunch at Mishima Park. Let the kids play and burn off some energy before continuing along the Nomikawa Nature Path. Along the way, stop by Down Home Café for a slice of pie, or grab a coffee and some hot cocoa at Cafe Tenango. Continue your stroll toward Toritsu-Daigaku Station for a bit of shopping, then follow the path to Midorigaoka Station. Stay for dinner or head home from there!

For an even more memorable experience, visit during hanami season to enjoy the cherry blossoms in full bloom!
